A very simple and fun DIY project to add some style to your bedroom, office, bathroom or any room.
Here's what you'll need to gather:
- Wood Paint Sticks
- Wood Glue or Hot Glue Gun
- Craft Paint
- One 9" Dia. Embroidery Hoop Set (or whichever size you prefer)
- Cardboard Scrap

Step One:
Paint your sticks. Trust me it's A LOT EASIER to paint your sticks first :0)Step Two:
Glue paint sticks to the bottom of the trash can. Use a hot glue gun to adhere your paint sticks around the outside of the embroidery hoop, one by one.Step Three:
Glue paint sticks to the top of the trash can. Take your time to slide the larger of the two embroidery hoops inside the top of the trash can and then add a small squirt of hot glue to each slat between the slat and the embroidery hoop.Important Note:
You'll need to remove the metal piece from the embroidery hoop before you begin this step. Of you have two sets of hoops you can use the two inside pieces that do not have the hardware.Step Four:
Make the bottom of the trash can. Grab some scrap cardboard, trace the bottom of your can, cut out the cardboard circle, use your hot glue gun to glue the cardboard circle to the bottom of the can.Voila! That's it! Place your beautiful new trash can somewhere in your beautiful living space.
